JORGE AYALA is the (highly) personal web log of Jorge Ayala.
For almost 2 years or so, it has had a decent bit of content related to architecture and landscape urbanism, in addition to the AA School thoughts, my current jobs, personal quotes, and links to my living experience with China that have been the more typical content of the blog. In the near future, that landscape/architecture/urbanism content will be moving to a new web log, Ay_A Studio, which will be a bit more than a blog.
He received his Degree in Architecture (DPLG) in Paris in 2007 and a Masters Degree of the emerging discipline Landscape Urbanism from the Architectural Association School [AA] in London in 2008.
In 2007 he participated in the 7th International Biennale of Architecture in São Paulo, Brazil, and in the 2nd International Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism of Hong Kong - Shenzhen in China. His work has been exhibited in academic and cultural venues including the Architectural Association, la Galerie d'Architecture de Paris and Fundacion Metropoli in Spain.
Jorge has lectured in Paris, Beijing, Nanjing and others. He is a workshop tutor at the Landscape Urbanism Master at the AA London. Jorge leads the Landscape Urbanism Unit at ESA/ Paris.
Jorge is based between London, Beijing and Paris working for P l a s m a Studio on several projects within China, currently involved in the World Horticultural Expo design for Xi'an 2011 as well as being part of the collective Groundlab LU, he has also collaborated with Laur Studio in Beijing.
Jorge Ayala is a Registered UK Architect -member of the Architects Registration Board UK- and a member of l'Ordre des Architectes France.
